Journal Ethics

Authors are requested to strictly follow the Journal Ethics.

One of the important sources of dissemination of knowledge and research output is through the publication in research journals. Papers appearing in research journals are classified into three categories like, popular articles, research articles and peer reviewed research papers. The journal DJSR emphasis on peer review research papers with international standards. To ensure international standards, the journal has a well framed journal ethics, with the following mandate.

Truth and Accuracy: The journal ensures true presentation of research output or findings. Mere guess, a priori reasoning, arguments based on circumstances are not encouraged. In continuation of this, it also ensures accuracy. Precision of results or laboratory trials are quite essential for generating universal applicability. The research papers are accepted for publication only after a careful scrutiny of the findings by a scientific board (editorial board), consequently guarantee truthfulness and accuracy.
Independence: One of the important criteria for a research paper is, the paper should be the outcome of independent research. In other words, research methodology indicates that research should be done with an unbiased mind. The journal encourages findings based on independent research, research not influenced by political, social, religious, caste factors. This ensures fairness and impartiality.
Fairness and Impartiality: As mentioned above, independent research ensures fairness and impartiality. Fairness ensures fairness of the researcher and also the dissemination of research output without any external considerations. Fairness gives rigor, acceptance and universal applicability to the output. Fairness guarantees impartibility. The research papers for the journal are accepted only after a peer review by an impartial body, and based on their impartial and fair suggestions, accepted for publications or retuned for revision. Hence, ensures minimum quality assurance.
Humanity: Research findings, even though they are based on scientific investigations, should have a human touch. Unless the findings are valid and useful at the grass root level, the research is fruitless. Also, we are to make sure that the results, suggestions and applications are reaching the common man. This journal ensures the applications of the findings to the society.
Accountability: Journal insists that the authors are accountable to their research findings submitted and disseminated. They have to defend their findings either based on logic, or data and experiments.

The journal ethics is rested on five pillars, truth and accuracy, independence, fairness and impartibility, humanity and accountability. In order to implement his mandate, the following guidelines are issued.

Authorship of the Paper: The author should make sure that the paper is his own and not published elsewhere. Complete address of the author, both official and residential and also email is to be given.
Original and Free from Plagiarism: The author(s) has to certify that the findings are based on original research. They have to make sure that the material is free from duplication or copying. Even if they are quoted, it should be in the permitted limits. The originality and the extend of plagiarism will be ensured through blind eyed review by two experts in the respective filed.
Data Accessibility and Retention: As part of ensuring originality, data or observations used for the study should be available to the reader on demand on any future date.
Acknowledgement of Source: The reliability of data and other details are to be ensured through the acknowledgment of source. The authors have to make sure that the data and information sources are authentic and reliable and available for verification.
Fundamental Errors: The authors have to verify that their paper is free from fundamental errors, based on information, data etc. If any fundamental error is traced, the journal is not responsible for this. Also the authors have to ensure that the paper is free from unethical remarks from any side.
Disclaimer: The journal will not be responsible for any errors or omissions made by the authors.

Plagiarism Policy

The papers will be accepted for publication only after a rigorous process which includes peer review and plagiarism check
Immediately after acknowledging the receipt of the paper to the author, the paper will be quickly reviewed by the editorial board. If the board recommends for detailed review, it will be send to external referees (blind review) with a request to evaluate the paper based on, theme, content, methodology, findings and social policy relevance. The experts have to check for plagiarism and report (if any, beyond the permitted limit)
If the paper is recommended for publication, subject to the revision based on the comments of the experts, the matter will be intimated to the author.
After getting back the revised paper, the editorial board will again check for plagiarism using the available packages and other methods.
After ensuring that the paper is free from plagiarism (or only within the tolerable), the paper will be published.
There will be disclaimer also. The complete responsibility of the contents of the paper will be resting only with the authors and the journal editorial board is not responsible about the extend of plagiarism traced in future (if any).

Publication Policy

The journal titled “De Paul Journal of Scientific Research (DJSR) will be published by DCRD Publications, De Paul Institute of Science and Technology (DiST), Angamaly South P O, Ernakulum District Kerala, India 683573.
Chief Editor will be the Principal, De Paul Institute of Science and Technology (DiST). The Chief Editor will be assisted by the editorial board.
The journal carries ISSN number ISSN 2394-4412, E-ISSN 2394-2509
The contents of the journal are interdisciplinary in nature; cover research papers from areas like, Business Studies, English Literature, Information Technology, Management, Media, Psychology and Social Work.
There are two issues published every year.
The copies of the journal are to be subscribed by the Business Schools, Universities, Arts and Science Colleges, Libraries or any individual or Institutions interested. Price of single copy of the journal is Rs 250.
The editorial board ensures high academic quality for the content published.
